Description
Tool Design Engineer
* Develop/ track tool projects
* Lead Team reviews of Part and Tool designs.
* Design Thermoforming, Trimming tooling, and Gages
* Develop/ manage all tooling projects with tooling suppliers.
* Creates supporting documents for manufacturing.
* Provides CAD support to manufacturing.
* Supports corporate estimating
* Reviews part/prototype tool designs for manufacturability
* Contributing to continuous improvement in tool design, CAD/ Corporate processes,
Qualifications
? Bachelors degree in Computer Aided Technology or Engineering.
* Strong in all of the following
* Mold and/or die design.
* CATIA V5 mechanical design (PDG & ASD), surface design (GSD), and drafting.
* CATIA customization (design automation) a plus.
* Rhinoceros and AutoCAD/DraftSight a plus.
* Microsoft Excel.
* Print reading skills including GD&T.
* Logical, process thinker, organizer, and decision maker.
* Communication skills with other employees, suppliers, and customers. This includes writing technical documents and being responsive to email.
* Teamwork.
* Work without supervision.
