Tool & Die Maker

Description

We have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Tool & Die Maker to take on and complete any work that is assigned by the Tool Room Area/shift leaders, always striving to improve the quality of workmanship and time taken to complete assigned work.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Repair and maintain production tools and dies.
Construct new tools and dies as required.
Verify conformance of machined or repaired dies to specifications by checking dimensions, clearances and alignments.
Troubleshoot problems during production.
Modify dies to conform to engineering changes; conduct tryouts of new dies.
Responsible for helping maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Works in a safe manner and observes plant safety rules and regulations at all times. Aware of all Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
Recommends proposals for improving products, processes, systems, productivity and working environment.
Know and understand Manufacturing Quality policy.
Perform all other duties as required.

Qualifications

Must have high school diploma.  2 year technical degree desired.
Plastic mold design experience desired
Prefer Tool and Die Journeyman status.
Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, diagrams, requirements and business correspondences.
Must be proficient in using Lathes, Milling Machines, Grinders, Drill Presses and Saws.
Must be proficient bench repair, Assembly, Machinery, Up-Keep, Layout, Die Repair, Inspection, Press Troubleshooting, Tooling Design, Quality Control, Die and/or Fixture Building, Welding and Heat Treating.
