Trillium Staffing is seeking a qualified individual for a fantastic opportunity as a Design Engineer.

Description

The Design Engineer will lead projects and phases of programs of moderate size.  The employee must have some relevant work experience and have mastered basic engineering skills.  The position requires some independence and creativity with decisions being reviewed closely by a supervisor. 
1. Design, develop, implement, and deploy electrical control systems for manufacturing automation
2. Perform software development in a variety of control programming languages as appropriate
3. Design, develop, and troubleshoot communications systems, including serial, industrial, and Ethernet networks
4. Provide electrical troubleshooting support for equipment and processes
5. Direct and coordinate the work of Associate Engineers, Designers, Technicians, and other project team members
6. Create project requests, definitions, and plans
7. Document work in regularly scheduled progress reports and final reports
8. Perform design and development of medium complexity for speed and motion control systems
9. Create robust technical documentation detailing the electrical designs and software systems that define a machine or Electrical Engineering system
10. Stay abreast of new technologies through technical journals, internet, trade shows, seminars, and working with vendors

Qualifications

1. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering related field
2. Requires no less than three years of experience designing, developing, implementing, and troubleshooting motion control systems, including variable frequency drives and servo control
3. Requires no less than three years of experience designing, developing, implementing, and troubleshooting electrical control systems such as PLC, relay logic, and control networks for manufacturing automation
4. Requires no less than three years of experience designing, developing, implementing, and troubleshooting industrial communications systems
5. Requires strong verbal and written communication skills
6. Requires no less than three years of experience in word processing, spreadsheet software, internet and email
7. Requires no less than one year of experience with AutoCad
8. Requires no less than three years of experience with Rockwell Software and Hardware products
9. Requires the understanding and application of trigonometry and calculus
10. Requires a valid driver’s license and favorable motor vehicle report
11. Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a passport
12. Requires the ability to travel up to 25% percentage domestically and/or internationally
