Our client, a dynamic Tier 1 Automotive Supplier specializing in custom labeling and die-cutting, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team

Our ideal candidate will be confident and comfortable while interfacing with customers regarding product quality issues or concerns
Must have the ability to initiate and lead Corrective Action discussions as required
Assign and track internal / external CA’s as necessary to achieve desired quality performance
Submit formal corrective actions per customer required portals
Continuously improve and ensure compliance to processes and systems utilizing Internal Audit and Layered Audit Processes
Ensure compliance to the Document Control process and assign and lead TS process revision.

Qualifications

Knowledge of quality theory, practices, core tools and their application
Experience with PPAP, APQP and quality inspection
Knowledge of SPC methods and their application to a manufacturing process required.
Experience with problem solving
Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
High level computer, organizational and communication skills
Ability to multi-task projects without affecting accuracy
Ability to make decisions independently
Desire to succeed in a culture of teamwork and accountability

Minimum 4 year degree in Quality Control or ASQC Certified Quality Engineer

8-10 years quality experience in an automotive environment

Certified TS 16949 Internal Auditor
