Direct hire CNC Vertical Machine Center machinist to make parts according to specs on blueprints.

Description

We have an exciting direct hire career opportunity for an experienced CNC Vertical Machine Center machinist with G & M Code experience. They will be making machined parts from blueprints. They need to be able read and understand G & M code programming to be able to set up tooling, do editing and changes to operate the machine to complete any work that is assigned by the Tool Room Area/shift leaders. The right candidate will always strive to improve the quality of workmanship and time taken to complete assigned work. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Read blueprints for machining process.
* Set up tooling for CNC job runs.
* Verify G & M code specifications by checking dimensions, clearances and alignments
* Troubleshoot problems during production.
* Responsible for helping maintain a clean and safe work environment
* Works in a safe manner and observes plant safety rules and regulations at all times. Aware of all Health, Safety & Environmental policies
* Recommends proposals for improving products, processes, systems, productivity and working environment
* Know and understand Mfg. Quality policy
* Perform all other duties as required

Qualifications

Need to have at least 5 years of CNC Vertical Machine Center experience. Must be able to read blueprints to machine parts. Must be able to read G & M codes for CNC Vertical Machine Center. Must have own machining tools for quality checks.
