Looking for good upholstery assemblers

Description

The Upholstery Assembler will be responsible for assembling various parts, materials, and components in order to satisfactorily construct a finished product, which meets quality standards. In the completion of these duties, this person will be flexible, accommodating the needs of other departments and perform work duties within the prescribed takt time for various product lines.

Qualifications

Minimum skills and experience: Basic math skills, with the ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Demonstrate basic understanding of hand air tools.
Technical Skills:  Manipulate material to conform to the patterns used. Understand work-in-process tickets, using them to assemble materials and complete product. Apply a basic understanding of ISO9000 standards. Apply basic TPS concepts including one-piece flow, takt time, and operator cycle time; understand the seven deadly wastes, and how to eliminate waste from production processes.

Physical demands: Must be able to stand 8-10 hours per day at a workstation and operate small hand tools. Must be able to lift up to 25-40 pounds consistently, and occasionally 75 pounds.
