APQP/Launch Engineer, contract to hire for the right person for a Progressive company that is an Automotive Supplier.

A leading automotive supplier is seeking an experienced self-starter for a key leadership role as an APQP Launch Engineer for a trial-hire position!

This position will serve as Project Administrator for new programs, develop and maintain timelines, monitor milestones, track and report on tooling and spending, coordinate launch meetings, maintain minutes, maintain open issues list, represent business unit at customer launch meetings, and support meeting customer expectations.

Primary Accountabilities will include:

*      Ensure that teams correctly utilize the APQP process by team interaction, involvement, and review.

*      Is a key communicator for ensuring collaborative product, process, and quality development.

*      Will require strong problem solving and decision making skills and abilities.

*      Work directly with other departments to ensure product performance, quality, and launch.

*      Develop concepts that will ensure product end use performance.

*      Review of APQP documentation to ensure that the product design and performance intent is carried throughout the development process.

*      Work with team members to assure that program risk is minimized.

Qualified Candidates should:

*      Have proven success and experience in a similar role

*      BS in Engineering or equivalent experience preferred

*      Strong experience with quality systems, problem analysis, and a solid understanding of APQP

*      Strong MS Office Skills

*      Strong written and verbal communication skills

*      Strong Project Management Skills and follow through

*      Pass pre-employment screening

Tried and True launch engineer to work for an Automotive Supplier, must have proven track record of education/training/certifications. References will be checked and past employment verified.
