Process Engineer-Contract to Hire opportunity for a progressive and stable automotive facility.

Description

The process engineer provides technical expertise to the molding department to troubleshoot molding quality issues, identify areas for improvement, coordinate repairs with maintenance and/or the tool room, oversee the hourly die setters.  The primary objective of the process engineer is to start up the molding presses quickly and efficiently, then to keep the presses running consistently with minimal downtime. 

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have at least five years of experience as a Process Engineer or Process Technician in an injection molding environment. Experience with hot runner molds, valve gate controllers, and automation is required. Experience with VanDorn presses, ABB robots, Fanuc robots is a plus. Formal education (vocational or college) and union workforce experience also preferred.
