A local Global Leader has recently expanded and in need of a General Tool & Die CNC Operator!

Description

Tends fabricating machines such as cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines, and punch, that cut, shape and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. 

- Follows all policies and procedures as outlined in the QS9000/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 Operating Manuals as they relate to the job function.
- Sets up and operates CNC machine.
- Examines blueprints and the data to determine requirements, control settings, machining methods and speeds and feeds.
- Programs machine to complete required machining process.
- Positions material in machine and begins operation.
- Inspects job and machine to assure safety procedures are followed.
- Starts machine and follows up on work in process.
- Adjusts machine program as required to complete job to specifications.
- Inspects in-process and completed work piece for dimensional accuracy.
- Must be fully versed in Basic Window Explorer Navigation Operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school education and two years apprenticeship experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Journeyman preferred.  Master Cam experience a plus.
