VMC Production Machinist - 2nd shift - South Bend, IN

Description

VMC Production Machinist for Tool Room - 2nd shift -  Operates Vertical Machining Center safely at acceptable quality and efficiency standards to produce and/or modify tooling.  Duties include: Safely set up computer controlled vertical machining center: install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines. Measure dimensions of finished work to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures. Modify VMC programs and implement machine operations parameters to achieve quality results. Service, maintain and repair tooling fixtures, dies and molds.  Fabricate fixtures and tooling components to print. High school or general equivalency diploma or a minimum 6 months related experience.  Starting pay is $14.74/hr plus $.41 shift premium.
