Print Art Director

Description

Print Art Director to develop the look & feel and art layout for all print projects including catalogs, brochures, mailers and various promotions. Responsible for maintaining exceptional creative standards across all print media.  Play an active role in internal and cross-functional brainstorming sessions.  Will partner with copywriters to ensure all design concepts reflect the copy and voice desired. Coordinates the release and processing of files at prepress and printer. Ensures accuracy of file set-up and specs for all out going artwork. Approves proofs for accuracy.

Qualifications

BA, BFA or equivalent degree in Graphic Design or related field. 3+ years working experience; Art Director experience preferred. Expert use of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign (CS5 preferred). Must be proficient in a Windows-based system. Strong command of formats, typography, graphics and layout. Knowledge of preparing electronic files for commercial print production. Must possess a wide range of creative styles and should feel comfortable expressing and presenting creative rationale. Applicant must have a portfolio available to demonstrate work.
