CMM Programmer

Description

CMM Programmer - Writes and maintains coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
* Writes and maintains CMM programs based on customer or company specifications.
* Assists with in-house training on CMM equipment and software.
* Troubleshoots and contacts outside technical support services for CMM software as needed.
* Additional duties as requested by management.
* May be required to travel.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); two years minimum related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of algebra and geometry.

Technical Skills

* Working knowledge of personal computer, keyboard, and various software programs.
* Knowledge of blueprint reading, and geometric tolerancing.
* Working knowledge of inspection techniques.
* Experience and extensive knowledge of PC-Dmis CMM software
* Basic knowledge of MM4 CMM software desired.
* Use and knowledge of mechanical measuring instruments (bench layout skills).
* General knowledge of applicable customer specifications and standards.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

CMM programming certification is desirable.

Qualifications

PC-Dmis software is required
