Description
The required prior SPC and Design for Experiment experience will help the new process engineer hit the ground running, evaluating our processes and production challenges. Excellent analytical and communication skills make it possible to clearly determine root causes and work through solutions with the division manager and the test and design engineers. Responsibilities:
1.Design sequence of operations for fabrication of printed circuit board assemblies from Engineering drawings and specifications.
2. Monitor defects as part of a quality assurance program.
3.Organize training for employees on machines and process techniques.
4.Monitor and solve Process issues as they arise.
5.Interface with product development groups in order to improve and give feedback on design issues that arise during production.
6.Communicate with product development engineers to ensure proper design implementation at the introduction of new products.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
-Education: 4-year Bachelors of Engineering required: Electrical, Electronic, Computer or Chemical.
-Must have full authorization to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (no OPT/CPT/H1B).
-Must live in driving distance or be willing to relocate to Central IL.
-Must have 5+ years full time experience managing wavesolder.
-Must understand and implement SPC (Statistical Process Control).
-Must be familiar with and capable of using “Design for Experiment” as a method of determining root cause of process defects.
-Must be intimately familiar with Wavesolder production processes and be able to provide proof of demonstrated ability to design profiles that assure repeatable quality solder joints without damaging components.
-Should be able to track and reduce soldering defects through continual process improvement.
-5+ years of electronics industry experience strongly preferred.
-Experience in electronics process as a Process Engineer, including WaveSolder experience strongly preferred.
-Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
-Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
