Trailer Mechanic.

Description

We are currently seeking a 2nd Shift Mechanic for a location in the Appleton area.  These individuals are responsible for performing vehicle and trailer repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with in-house and manufacturers’ standards, which may include, but is not limited to:

Determining vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests.
Correcting vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems.
Verifying vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
Complying with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.
Maintaining vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.

Qualifications

Ability to prioritize and delegate work based on customer demands and expectations.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Hands on ability to determine semi trailer condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests.
Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.
Maintaining trailer records by annotating services and repairs.
