Senior Engineer (HEV / Hardware) - Possess a bachelor or masters degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering.

Description

The primary responsibility of this position is to support the development of automotive embedded electronic control unit hardware.

Qualifications

Possess a bachelor or masters degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering. Have a minimum of 4-6 years applicable experience in automotive ECU development. Have working knowledge of electrical motor design, power electronics design, HEV test specifications and set-up. Should be comfortable around high voltage/current equipment (600V/500Arms). Have experience with automotive component and vehicle test procedures, including EMI/EMC testing. Have experience creating DFMEA’s, Validation Plans, EMC test plans, etc.  Have experience creating WCA and working with PSPICE. Have experience interfacing with customers. Be able to coordinate program activities with team members at remote sites. Have embedded H/W design experience for automotive applications. Design experience with Freescale micro controllers is preferred. Have experience coordinating and facilitating several small projects and/or one major project. Experience with PCs and application software, such as MS Office tools and Lotus Notes are also required.
