Description

Manage the mechanical specification, and the design and development of electrical/electro-mechanical systems for power-train applications.

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field required. Have a minimum of 5-10 years applicable experience in automotive power-train component design. Working knowledge and experience with DFMEA, Reliability Analysis, APQP, tolerance stack-up, worst-case analysis and material analysis. Knowledge/experience of 8-D and 5-P methodology preferred. Demonstrated project mgt. experience to organize and communicate design information such as DFMEA, technical specifications or drawings on a global basis to suppliers, customers and other divisions required. Customer interface for program or engineering issues highly preferred. Working knowledge of at least one popular 3-D CAD modeling & FEA software programs required.
