Description
This is a materials engineering position with direct responsibility to powertrain development. Responsibilities include:
-Provide materials technical direction and consultation to Powertrain Engineering
-New material and technology development.
-Supplier validation (both raw material and component).
-Create/maintain/harmonize (with Fiat) material standards.
-Provide assistance to evaluate deficiencies of prototype and production parts, and assist in the identification and initiation of corrective actions.
Qualifications
Fractographic/Failure Analysis. Powertrain Development Related Experience. Proficient in failure mode analysis. Excellent communication and technical writing ability. In depth knowledge of castings, wrought products and powder metal. BS Materials Engineering. 5 years automotive experience with focus on powertrain applications. Experienced in fractographic analysis and proficient in Failure Mode Analysis.
