Data Center Backup Engineer - Bachelors Degree required.

Description

The NetBackup Administrator is responsible for administering support for the backup and recovery operations to various support groups, end users, and all levels of management to ensure client satisfaction in the resolution of technical issues that arise.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree required. Preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. 1 to 3 years of Information Technology experience. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Veritas NetBackup Enterprise Server, Windows server OS, backup technologies and IT infrastructure hardware is required as well as a basic knowledge of VMWare. Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage, NetBackup SSO Technologies, Unix/Linux, Scripting - CLI, and Certifications/Training in NetBackup Enterprise Administration are a plus. Must be available to be on call for infrastructure system emergencies and must be available to work overtime as required, including some weekends and holidays. Must have excellent customer support and communication skills, both written and oral.
