Detailed Description

Our client, a well respected manufacturer of mechanically functioning equipment used in athletic venues including installed equipment and personal implements is hiring a Vice President of Engineering.  This position will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in planning and designing of equipment and implements.  Strong leadership skills as well as a PE designation are the two most critical needs for this position.  In addition a minimum of five years experience manager engineering professionals is required.  In addition, knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models is required.  This position will require relocation to Central Illinois.  A competitive salary, bonus and relocation package is part of the total compensation package.

Qualifications

    High technical competence and strong academic record. Bachelor’s degree is engineering field required, Master’s degree preferred
    Minimum 5 years supervising other engineering professionals
    Currently certified as a Professional Engineer (PE)
    Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing
    Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various manufactured goods
    Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
    Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
    The ability to work through others to accomplish objectives
    Maintain valid driver’s license and clean driving record
    Superior leadership skills
