Powertrain Electrical Engineer

Description

Working in a team environment, in conjunction with a supplier team, to design, develop, verify, and release embedded automotive powertrain electronics into vehicles.  Primary components are Engine (gas), Transmission and Final Drive controllers.

Qualifications

Recent Graduate to 10 years of engineering work experience. BSEE or related degree. Self-starter who is able to work cross-functionally with other organizations as part of the overall team to achieve the company’s goals. Possess outstanding interpersonal and critical thinking skills. Component releasing experience. Experience with electronic module design, specifically embedded electronics. Powertrain subsystem or vehicle systems experience. Thermal management, electronic packaging background for power electronics. Familiarity with microcontroller design. Familiarity / experience in specifying or designing control system algorithms for inclusion in purchased electronic controllers. Familiarity / experience with embedded software design. Ability to work in team environment.
