Powertrain Electrical Engineer

Description

Provide design direction for present & future powertrain electrical/electronic architecture systems.  Interface with Vehicle Core Electrical Architecture to co-develop and integrate powertrain electrical systems into vehicle electrical architecture.  Develop interface requirements documentation and sub-system interaction documentation.
Facilitate development and design of powertrain electrical/electronic architecture with vehicle core electrical area and vehicle development teams for communications based electrical architectures. Facilitate development and design of powertrain electrical/electronic sub-system functionality & requirements definition with vehicle core electrical area and vehicle development teams. Generate architecture & sub-system documentation & hold reviews with releasing areas and vehicle development teams. Lead interface development functionality for present and future powertrain electronic control units. Gather requirements and provide definition for software control algorithms. Work with vehicle & releasing teams to resolve architecture related issues on vehicles.

Qualifications

Electrical system development experience; Basic understanding of vehicle engine & transmission systems; Strong personal computer and MS office applications; Excellent written and verbal communication skills required along with strong interpersonal skills; M.S.E.E. Minimum 5-8 Years Experience.
