Senior Electrical Estimator-Las Vegas, NV

Detailed Description

Responsible for supervising a team of Estimators.  Responsible for business development, product and services marketing, finding and obtaining bids.  Reviews and oversees work preformed by a group of Estimators.  Responsible for ensuring that the bids by department members are accurate, competitive, and profitable for the Company.  Ensures that the Company’s best interests are represented including profitability, and cost control.  Trains and provides guidance to Estimators.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
May require a BA/BS Degree in construction, electrical design and theory, or degree in related field; may require 5 years construction, electrical, or related field experience; may require 5 years experience estimating; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Prior experience managing an area or function including supervising employees may be required.

KNOWLEDGE
Strong understanding of electrical materials, equipment, installation methods, codes, construction/electrical terms and symbols, engineering practices, electrical engineering and design, drawings and specifications of construction trades such as architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, etc.  Knowledge of local construction market.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percents and to draw and interpret graphs.  An understanding of basic accounting and algebra.

Current drivers license with a good driving record.

Must be willing and able to relocate to Las Vegas, NV.
