Description

Chicago run
* Operate vehicle in a safe manner, obeying all local/state/federal regulations and all company safety policies.
* Prepare receipts for load delivery and pick up as well as maintain thetruck log, according to state and federal regulations.
* Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
* Assist in the loading and the unloading of inventory from the truck.
* Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
* Assist with all truck moves, including tractor-trailers and straight truck needs
* Make sure all trailers are kept maintained for safety control at all times and perform emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs.
* Fulfill all Department of Transportation requirements, including periodic medical evaluations; completing forms for driver qualification file; and completing hours-of-service and vehicle inspection logs.

Qualifications

Must be at least 22 years of age, current class A CDL, a minimum of two years experiance in the last five years
* A High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
* You must be at least 23 years of age in order to apply to this job.
* You must also have a valid Commercial Drivers License along with a Department of Transportation Medical Certificate.
